So this was my first ever staff draft in MP. I only had one coaching position that had an expired contract (strength coach). I planned on only signing a strength coach, so I set my preferences to 0 for each of the other coaching positions. I was under the impression that this would lead to me sticking with my already existing staff for another year. However, the A.I. did a complete overhaul of my entire staff. Can anybody explain to me why this might have happened?
While the settings were all set to 0, I did select a defensive front and offensive philosophy to cover myself on the very thin chance that my DC or OC got poached by another team for a HC job (both coordinators had terrible Motivation/Discipline bars). But that isn't even what happened. My coaches all just got fired without getting a promotion to HC on another team.
Can somebody let me know what I did wrong?
