  • The Commish goes on tour.

I am out of here soon.

Bit of a different week for me, as I will head up to upper New York and New Jersey, then come back this way.

Maybe I will swing through Newark and Cleveland, maybe some side trips to Hartford, Pittsburgh, Montreal, Vermont, Lawrence, Boston. Maybe West Virginia on the way back....... The commish doesn't get to go out that way too much.

    Later guys.
My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

home. never went to new york. It was supposed to be a double drop load, but ended up being only for Jersey. Still, had been a few years since I have been to New Jersey so it was cool.

That place drives me nuts though. I was in north New Jersey, and so much of it is just a million trees right next to the freeways, you see no buildings (outer suburbs anyways). Yet you are driving in the middle of a million cars. It's an odd feeling in a way.

And Kobeck, you keep mentioning Toots, you getting paid for this?

haha. Sorry, I got in, unloaded the trailer and reloaded at the same place, then got on my way back here. The only time we spend time somewhere is when something bad happens (crap load that takes forever to get loaded, or truck breakdown).

I sat all day about 10 miles from Jeff last year and didn't even realize it at the time. I was thinking he was in Fargo at the time.

side note: we did have truck problems this week. :x stupid Penske here didn't fix our air conditioning, so we picked up the truck and I had the pleasure of trying to get a nap in while my co-driver took us to San Antonio. We get there, and they can't fix out truck or get us a sub-unit. So, I take over and drive through the night to Little Rock, who also does not have any sub-units and it will take several hours to fix our truck. We are now behind schedule so we have to keep going. Dispatch says they will try to find us another truck along our route and let us know. After beingtold they had none in Memphis or Nashville, they actually found us one in Memphis. All the rest in Texas, Arkansas, and Tenn. have been taken for the Katrina relief I guess. This one was a pice of crap, I guess that is why it was overlooked. Atleast he A/C worked.
