  • Pythag record for IFL 2060

Hey all, now the regular season has finished thought I'd share this in case anyone might be interested.

Seems like the dominant teams in each division were pretty legit, a few interesting ones though with Calgary/Colorado.

Congrats to those who've made the post season and comiserations to the rest of us, look forward to following along and then getting into the off-season!

Thanks for sharing, Mellman! It definitely reflects the good fortune I needed to end up 16-0, which feels insane.

ha ha, not at all! It was just the only pair of teams whose expected records could maybe have changed the shape of the division a bit. I'm just a sub .500 guy wishin' he was legit anyway so dont mind me and my little script

Curious what the points scored/allowed ratio needs to be to project 16 expected wins. It's difficult to get much better than the Killer Whales' points season.

Yeah I'm not sure, I thought the same as their season has been ridiculous in terms of PF/PA.

Yes thanks for sharing...gotta improve my offense and see if we can up our off. score by atleast thirty points but we definitely need to improve our defense this off-season just not up to standards. Also, that point-spread by the Killer Whales is Insane lol

Lol, it is true. We were good but got a lot of breaks. Won one game 6-3 that was bizarre. It all collapsed hard in the playoffs lmao.

                          Here's the wiki on it - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pythag...er%20of%20wins.

I read an article about it and thought I'd try it as I'm trying to teach myself some basic Python stuff, so it was an easy beginner 'project'. I obviously only used 16 games as the final multiplier rather than the 17 stated on the Wiki due to FOF pre-dating that change.
