  • Pythagorean wins graph

So I saw this in another league and have shamelessly stolen the idea cause I thought it was neat. Basically its a way to look at how your record should look based on your points for and against. For example, Tulsa was the team truest to its record, while West Virginia was on the lucky side and Lansing not so lucky. Hopefully these pictures are not tiny I dunno how to do that so well.

OK yea the images are tiny, if anyone knows how I can display this better I'd love to learn

Is there a correlation between points differential and record?

I heard this; the goal is to score 20+ and to hold your opponent to > 20. Yes, I know. No duh.

Yeah that looks about right. We sucked on the field... and statistically.

Yea that's the theory. I believe it started as a baseball statistic before houston rockets GM Daryl Morey applied it to the nba and then nfl
