  • HOF Points

I noticed that when exporting data, something called HOF points was included. I didn't see where this was tracked within the game, so I decided to start tracking it myself beginning with the 2043 season. I've since manually marked any player that makes it to the HOF to try to get an idea as to how many points someone needs.

I've attached the latest results in case anyone is interested. I was hoping I could upload an Excel workbook, but this site won't allow it. So instead I've uploaded a tab-delimited file you can import into Excel yourself. This site also won't let me upload anything over 19.5 KB, so I removed anyone with less than 1120 HOF points.

It should be pretty self-explanatory: 'Yr' is the last year the player was in the league, 'Team' is the last team he played for (unless he's inducted under a prior team in which case I manually update the data), and HOF is the number of points. A 'Y' means the guy is in the Hall of Fame.

Note: SS Clifton Valdes fell off the list because he was a FA when he retired. I since corrected that bug.

No one complained last year, so here's the HOF points for 2050. If my calculations are correct, QB Glen Buss, TE Gus Graham and CB David Roseman will have their names called in 2055.

(And no, not an accidental sharing of information. No scouting data is in this file.)

        Thanks Joe!
I was gonna make a retirement appreciation thread, but I'll just tack on here.

Pour one out for Gus Graham, who goes down as Vancouver's all time catches and yards leader. 2nd in TDs. Health struggles in his last 2 years lead to retirement at the age of 33. You will be missed.
