  • League Project/Owner Input/Help/Sodomy Appreciated

Ok, so I started this project today, I'm trying to get all the teams Info, history onto 1 page.

    http://home.comcast.net/~suicane/Teams.htm

This is a first draft, It started as trying to get all the teams players achievments on 1 page, but now im moving on to the teams histories which is where I could use individual owners help.

If you can tell me your coaches, attendance, records that'd be cool, its not real neccesary as I can look them up in the game but it'd be alot easier cutting and pasting as many as i can from right here instead of going back and forth from the game to my HTML editor.

Also, I would like each owner to name a team MVP from each of their first 2 seasons, even if you just took over or came in late, go back and look, im leaving it totaly up to you, if you think your 12 year vet was the heart and soul of your team, thats cool.

The page I have up is very busy, i dont know how resource intensive all the pics are, i'm thinking I could redo the helmet area with just a banner that has the team name in the middle flanked on each end by the helmet, i dunno, suggestions?

Also, anyone more familiar with HTML than me, Im using tables here, but i cant get any break between teams, the br function doesn't seem to be creating any space. Any tips?

Oh yeah, Stadium names, I know we had a thread on that before but if you wanna post it here that would be cool too.
    I luv British womenz.

if you want more of a space between teams then use

            for paragraph.
is usually to just go down to the next line. you don't always have to do

at the end either. just plain old

            should work fine.

real helmets for you and Jave? why? Do you want a different colored Cards helmet? And I have done a helmet up for Jave that I use in the awards area.

Also, if you are worried about how long things will take to load, you could always divide up AFC and NFC into two pages.

Nice work by the way, will be very cool to have.[/img]

If I came up with some kind of format for the actual page, would that help you out?

Well heres the thing, Entering the data is a bitch, i mean the coaches, records etc is not all that hard, but anything beyond that is more of a pain in the ass with the going back, typeing, etc because ya cant really cut and paste, and even that gets tedious. I dunno, i'll revisit it in the morning when i'm not so tired, but that page right there represents about 3 hours of work, and it just looks bleh to me.

Thats cool. Lets just say no rush on this thing at all. I can help out, anyone else who wants to jump in can too. I like this idea and would like to go through with it. Hell, if i...t is next season (2-3 months) before we get it done, no problem for me.

Thats totaly true. I have the Codes for all the teams colors. It's deciding what and how it gets entered, how it looks, that gets to me. All teams in 1 year, each team seperate like i have it, but then it gets to be a 5 mile long page. Probably gonna lower the font, I like the idea of team colors as background, helmets etc, but i just cant make look........right, at least to me. It'll get done.

I think the look you have works. I like it team by team. Smaller font, making for smaller tables, would be better i think.

Ok, heres what I'm gonna do. Lets all decide what info we want. I'll take input from anybody. I can then set up the base code and paste it here and each team can fill in their info if they want. It really isn't all that hard, Im just on a 1998 level of HTML experience.
