Running from Ivan

Because of where my parents live, I ended up heading right into the heart of the storm, Mobile. It started to get nasty there, so we decided in our infinate wisdom, to head to Montgomery, Al. Hahahah, the sonofabitch just followed us. So, in the middle of the hurricane, we decided, f**k it, lets just head back to Mobile. So in the middle of a Cat 4, we started driving south, into the guts of the motherf**ker. It was nothing if not fun! Anyway, I am back now!
Funny part is, after all of this, I told my parents before this started to just stay in Gulfport with me. Seems now, that was the best plan, we only lost power here for about 6 hours. /shrug, so here we are, $200 dollars less and wondering why we didn't just stay here in the first f**king place.
(excuse my french, my adriniline is racing and I am exausted)! Going to sleep now.

I live on the coast in Slidell, to the east of New Orleans. We were lucky to get the western edge of Ivan ... mostly high winds and a little water. No fun. I'm glad that you report that you and your family are ok and also without any significant loss of property.

as for me, i managed to survive my brush with 30mph winds I got there too early......oh well, I guess its the best. Oh, and those 30mph winds were in Slidell....
