With your run-D, I'm thinking Beamer picks up 150 yards
Aubrey Beamer: 143 rushes 582 yards and 2 td's. Thats your 8.4 milion dollar investment? The Oakland defense is not only NOT worried, we are laughing.

My gameplan was to avoid interceptions, and still with onyl throwing the ball 15 times he throws 3 picks. God this guy has all the upside of Marino and all the current skills of Leaf.....

and to top it off I give Timmerman the ball 20+ times and he barely getrs 3 per carry.....

      this team suketh =(

Well, i haven't said anything about my game other then my article, so I guess I will now.

duckman, got ya mofo! Swept ya this season, i'm very happy about that.

Also, my offense is kind of suprising me. Week in and week out they don't apear to do anything real spectacular, but Brian Dixon (rookie) has moved up to #4 on the rushing list, WR Olin Holst(rookie) has moved up to #9 on the receptions list, and Bennett Renteria has somehow become the #2 rated QB in the league since I handed the team over to him completely ( must be his accuracy, his only real high rating, which has resulted in a league best 69.4 completion percentage).

As a team, the Toads are now the 3rd best rushing team, and have the 9th best run D. Downside is my pass D is the 8th worst, and my pass offense is the 6th worst.

Now, i only have 1 win against a team with a winning record, so i guess I can't be to happy, not to mention I am at 4-5. But this is the best I have done in MP so far, so I am happy, screw it.

Besides, you missed an important stat. . 4.0 yards/carry
                Heres a stat for ya:

                RB Gaston Lomeli 198 rushes 693 yards 0 td's $950,000 yr

He averages 3.5 yards a carry, so if you do the math, half a yard a carry=7 million dollars a year. So now who has the better player?
It's all talk from here, my boys will school ya next Sunday and prove my point.

Does it get any better when the owners of two teams which have a combined record of 3-15 are talking trash to each other?

                      He will earn his pay

You would think that with all that money your saving you'd have it invested well someplace else, like QB

But your QB is sitting at a league low 44.3 QB rating and your 32nd in the league in passing.

It may be a good thing that he is out for the rest of the year

But the truely amazing stat is the -10 Turn over margin that the Annihlators have.

And since we are comparing numbers:

Oakland annual D-Line salary: 14.62 Mil
Iowa City annual D-Line salary: 3.89 Mil

Oakland Rush-D yards per game: 164.5
Iowa City Rush-D yards per game: 165.8

That 10 Mil you spend on your D-Line really helps doesn't it? I guess if you won a game, you could say it makes a difference, but. . .

Lets compare total points scored against your defense: 175 Oakland: 173
and my defense lines average age is 23, my secondarys average age is 22 years old, add to that the 18 turnovers we have committed, and you have our defense on the field TWICE as much as yours, yet we still managed to keep teams from scoring.
I won't even mention my RB has more yards then your "stud" RB, and Lomeli is running behind a rookie offensive line. Pretty sad, as bad as a year I have had, if I win 3 games, I am all caught up to you, and my team won't even mature for 2 more years.

Your D has been on the field for 567 plays.
Mine has been on the field for 577 plays.

So you havn't been on the field more than me. . .
it's actually kinda even, and so are the total points

Since you brought up total points on D, lets take a look at O:
                            IWC - 165
                            OAK - 94

Our defenses are very similar, your ranked 30th in Rush-D, and I'm at 31st (Difference of less than 2 yards per game)
your ranked 2nd in Pass-D, and I'm at 6th (Difference of less than 20 yards per game)

Our Run Os are more of the same: Your at 107 y/g, I'm at 110 y/g.
Passing is about 70 yards different.

So what this really says is that T/Os ( -11 for you, +6 for me) are the difference between 0-8 and 3-5.

                              BTW Jave,

I really do wish you luck over the next few years. I played a few single player games and started out with a very young and talented team. I suffered through the first few years and when all those potential superstars started performing near the end of year 3, all their contracts came up. I couldnt' afford to keep even half them, the team split, and I didn't recover until about year 7.

My first 6 seasons were all losing seasons.

12 of the players on my initial roster went to the HoF. only 2 of them spent the majority of their careers on my team. . .
