Best Draft

I think sov did the most to help his team right away. I qustion it's effect on the future of the franchise still, but the WR and RB were both highly rated and will make immediate impacts.

Obviously, at the time they could have been good moves, but now looking back Columbia did not have that great a draft. Now that it looks like CBA won't sign Webber, for the price of 3 #1's, 2 #2's and a 6 next year, Columbia got Halbert (a potential star), a center with no pass blocking in Cole (a weird choice for their passing offense), and a veteran back-up TE. I admire the risk taking (especially since I was unwilling to take the risk and overpay for a 2nd rounder) and hindsight is always 20/20, but overall I would have to think that Columbia did not get good value for their draft.

Don't forget the guy I grabbed 152nd overall. I had been wanting to grab a guy that could be mentored by Beau Brown on the outside, but Webber sliding messed up my priorities. I got exactly what I wanted with my pick at center and I think you'll hear McGinn's name in the not so distant future.

Yes, hindsight 20/20. If one of your top two picks busts, then your draft value plummets. That's not rocket science. Some of these booms/busts have no rhyme to them at all.. you win some, you lose some. Hell, it could work out for the best anyways. Right now it would be really tough to find one million dollars to sign the 33rd overall pick.

I think that is one area where you can feel ok about it. Atleast you know before that he is a bust and don't have to sign him. I wish that was fixed, but in the meantime I guess guys can take advantage of it atleast.
