You need a mentor, so Caro can gain ability on the bench.

Why would Caro be on the bench????
So your team could win some games.
Caro is already penciled in as the starter. I don't feel my team is terrible, but I don't see us making the playoffs with or without Caro starting, so I don't see the upside in benching him in favor of Mulcahy (who is on the trade block for anybody interest).

I think sov did the most to help his team right away. I qustion it's effect on the future of the franchise still, but the WR and RB were both highly rated and will make immediate impacts.

Sov did a great job moving up to the top of the 2nd and icing out several other teams looking to make the same move on the RB. That counts for something even if his team implodes down the line.

I LOVE Boston's top two picks, after I am mixed on their last two picks.

I like my draft quite a bit. I got something that I have never had on my offense, a stud! My second round pick although nothing special fills a HUGE hole in my defense. If Martin comes back as a shell of himself, I made a smart move, if he comes back healthy, I might switch to a 3-4 defense! That's a big if though, seeing how he had knee reconstruction surgery.

UPDATE: I REALLY like my draft now. I have two young QBs that will be solid performers should one go down. I think Hickman had the best physical skills next to Caro, plus he has a big brain to boot. He is a potential breakout star.

I like Danny Scott alot..I came close to taking him at 2(9) but he'd be backing up McIver and Hulse...I'm definitely going 3-4

Moving to a 3-4 would solve a lot of my problems getting pressure on the passer, plus my OLBs are geared to a 3-4, but I lacked the ILBs to run it earlier. I still need to weed out some of the guys that don't fit my system on defense, but this side of the ball is still light years ahead of my offense.

speaking of mentors, what does a WR mentor run these days?
Perhaps someone who isn't 100% on whether his WR mentor would remian on his team for the 2005 season could better answer that.

Yeah, hope you don't have to start him He did do wonders for the young Gomez and (FB turned TE) Key though. He only wanted $700000 to stay but Booker asked that we tank him

As draft classes take about 3 years to really evaluate, I'm going to stop short of naming a "best draft".

Right now Sov improved his team alot on offense landing a starting RB and an "x-factor" to an already high scoring offense. He also got a good prospect at QB and C (A++)

I really like Newark's and Lansings moves (A) among the others

I stunk up the joint a bit after my first two picks, so I'm giving my draft a"C+" .

I'm building a defense to complement my offense and it took a lot for me to pass on some sexy offensive players when I was on the board.

I don't just want to run the 3-4 (or 4-6, 3-3-1, and the 4-3), I want to run each system very well and to do that meant that I needed to stay on script and get players that fit my system. Hope they all pan out.
