    ImperialFL Draft-o-matic
**the rest of the links can be found via the draft header in the individual forums**

The time limits by round are as follows:

    Rounds 1-2: 3 hours
    Round 3: 2 hours
    Round 4-7: 1 hour

**Deadtime will be from 11 pm central to 9 am central**

That's right. Cringer is pretty damn serious about wanting guys to use their preference lists, so do use them if you're serious about your team. Speaking of which, check your preference lists if you set them up before I made this post. Just to keep things together this is what will happen if you don't make your pick in a timely manner:

Rounds 1 and 2 will have 3 hour time limits on the picks. You will be picked for if you don't make that time. The moderators for the draft will mainly be sovstar, roadrash, and Suicane. Matt and dberner have offered to help moderate the draft too. I am giving the master password to the main three guys, this is used to draft for a team when theri time is up. sovstar can give it to Matt and dberner if needed.

These guys will pick for you if your time runs up. If you have a list in the Draft-O-Matic but just never turned it on, then they will pick from your list. If you have no list then, hopefully collaborating together as much as possible via AIM and/or PM, they will draft for you based off of your teams needs, as listed in the game. They will take the best player available at those positions. If it happens a second time to a team, then another need position will be selected. If it happens a third I am kicking someone's ass.

Mods will need to keep their games updated, so the needs are current.
Any other questions, please post them here. Maybe I've missed something that should be included in here.

Anyways, Matt of Newark will be on the clock at noon central and his pick will be due by 3 pm central. I know the clock says different at this time, but that doesn't really matter.

Just a reminder of the dead time. If Warhammer was to pick during the dead time and no one else, Bigwood would have until noon central to make his pick.

Possibly a stupid question but does this mean the draft can continue all night if people sign on? It's just that between 11pm-9am nobody is being timed?

Correct. I can't recall if Warhammer is one to visit the forum at the wee hours though. I think he's more of an early riser.

Just one other thing. Please please please try and use the preference list whenever you can. I think just about every one of us would like to make our picks live, but that's not always possible with our daily schedules. If you're not able to check in during the morning and your pick is up soon, then it may be in your best interests to make a wee little list. I don't ever want to have to make pick for anyone. I can't force you to make a list, so use your own discretion. ~thanks

I'm surprised Jamison lasted as long as he did. I was considering taking him at 31 if he were still around, but the weird combination of lack of breakaway speed and lack of inside power running scared me a little.

That is actually why I did not have my preferences turned on. He has some advantages that other players did not have. First, he is at a need position for me. Let's face it, none of the WRs left would make as big of an impact and be as good of a fit for my team as an RB would be. Second, his bars looked better to me than other players available. Third, he does has an average volatility, so he may go up a bit, or come down a bit. Either way, I felt more comfortable with him than I did with Weber. Now should I have gone defense? I think I can still get a good defensive player with my next pick, so I should be ok. Plus, I have more talent on defense still than I do on offense.

I'm gonna be out for a few hours. I've got some school shit to do which includes taking my last final AND getting 25% of my money back that I put into buying my books. hoo-ray for the college book system; capitalism at it's best!

                    Anyways, behave or something.

Fuck yeah, bitches! Paid 85 dollars for a brand new art book late January and I racked in a whopping 26 dollars back. Brilliant! Who's got the molotov cocktails?

Notice the time limit change from Round 2 to 3. Only one poor sap had to have a pick made for him, so that's encouraging. Let's try and keep it that way.

I'm sure things will be tweaked, and BTW the draft utility is sweet, but dropping round 2 too 2 hours would speed things up a tad anyhow. Might also want to make round 7 Utility list only instead of timed. Just my thoughts.

did I mention that I really like this draft Utility?

Problem with that is that the people at the end of the draft will need like 20-30 people on their preference lists to ensure they get a pick, and if there is one negative about this utility it is that the preference lists are time consuming to input and impossible to reorder once inputted (unless I am missing something).
