What type of cap hit do you take on the salary cap if you trade a player?

Does the bonus money owed come due immediately, or is it spread out over 2 years, or the life of the contract?

if you want to know what kind of cap hit you'll take when a player is traded, tap that player's "release player" button - it'll tell you what it would cost to drop/trade player against this year's cap (whatever his bonus was for this year) and next year (all the rest of his bonus comes cap-due) - then be sure to hit no so you don't release the player...
