  • IMPT: Note about ticket prices

It was pointed out to me that there might be a problem with ticket pricing in that the ticket price values might be reverting back to their original default values. Looking back at older ImperialFL files, I can confirm that this is happening. I raised most of my ticket prcies by 10% and those changes did take effect for the 2004 season. The problem is that right now in the game my old 2003 ticket prices have popped up, not my 2004 ones. If you made changes in 2004, then you may have lost them and will need to compensate for them.

This is just a heads up. I'm trying to find more information on this.

Did you make any ticket price changes last offseason?

I'm just baffled that this hasn't been reported as some leagues have gone through as many as 5-6 seasons.

Actually, I am nearly sure I did. I am a stickler for even numbers, so 99.9% of the time I usually round off my numbers, so if we were asking $41 I would have rounded it off to $40..........I thought it interesting that I didn't round off my numbers last year, but just fiqured I missed it.

          Lowered??? Wow!!!
Yea, when you have a 70,000 seat arena that averages 40,000 tickets sold, you do what you can to put butts in the seats!

sov, I loaded the end of 2003 files, looked at the numbers for both of our teams and then loaded up the current files. The ticket prices are higher now then at the end of 2003 in my game.

Well, I'm saying that the numbers I'm seeing right now are NOT the ones that I set in 2004 and are NOT the ones that were used throughout the season.

Here, I just went back to the end of 2003 files again to write stuff down, and compare to the current files.

                  Toads (2003/current) - 24/28, 28/32, 40/44, 46/50, 134/140, 63K/68K

                  Oakland - 21/21, 32/31, 43/45, 64/67, 134/129, 36k/33k

                  Columbia - 15/18, 17/21, 26/31, 28/34, 73/89, 26K/31K

                  IWC - 23/21, 31/31, 49/49, 57/56, 169/159, 79K/73K

and yes I have the numbers in correct order, I guess Oakland and IWC lowered prices on some seats...

I understand that. What I am getting at is maybe that the numbers are saved in my game, but not passed on for some reason. You guys see the same numbers from the begining.....

Did you use that .fga file I gave you last week? Possibly it is kept there for some odd reason?

A better explanation is that the game is probably recalculating ticket price values before each season, ie it is recommending the values that you should use. You are right in that they aren't being set to the 2003 original prices.
