I made the 1st, and I traded back in the second and I made the 3rd.
Moreover, for two of my picks I had the "long clock." (I actually made picks within the "Long Clock.")

If there is anyone out there that wanted Miles, I trade you as long as my guy is still there. Straight up exchange the receiver for your pick.
    It just says 2 missed picks. 1 = 50% ... 2 = 25%

All I know, for round 1, I woke up and it was on my pick. I offered a trade and about two hours later, I made a trade to move back to 19. The second round, it was my turn on the "forever time clock." I leisurely made my pick.
I made the pick in the 3rd round. So, the 4th round I fell asleep after grading for most of the night. That one I missed. The system is wrong, I distinctly remember picking rounds 1-3.

The system is not advantageous for me. I get why it is useful and necessary for people who are awake and out and about. I have never missed a pick when I am awake, except this last one because I thought I had time. Priority lists work, but sometimes, you change your mind. Tonight I will check constantly because I can't afford to miss another one and I didn't actually do anything wrong.

How about the fact that you have 2 early 4th round picks? Did you miss both? The conscriptor has been used by hundreds of people in every league I know of. I've never heard of it suddenly miscounting missed picks.

            Very true.

Also, for Pike's benefit, please be aware of this scenario as an example. If the round has a 2 hour time limit and you set your auto pick delay to 120 minutes, the draft utility regards this as a missed pick because you did not make the pick within the allotted time. I'm not a 100% sure, but I believe this was the issue you were experiencing in the USFL. Try setting your auto time to something less than the allotted time.

              Hooper,
Missing the second 4th rounder is the problem. I woke up 6. I wasn't the draft was still two picks away from me. The clock is 2 hours. I got ready for work. I arrived at work at 7:30 and logged on and my pick was already made. I believed I would have 20 minutes to look over my options. Actually, it would had taken me less than that since I had to teach at 7:50.

The system sucks anyway. Last draft I was going back and forth sometimes to the last minute. I would often just let the time go and let the system pick rather than physically pick. In fact, my first pick I wasn't sure how to do it. I have not initially noticed the "make a pick" column.

It would be nice if the system allows you to auto pick to the point of the maximum allowable time.
[edit: I do not recall ever seeing it allowing you to choose the maximum allowable time]

Pike you are a real nice guy. Good guy to have in the league. It seems you are having these missed picks issues in more then one league. That kind of trend means it more of what you are doing or not doing that is causing the problem. I'm in 5 leagues. I have been involved in way over 100 drafts. In those drafts I missed about 5 picks. Each one was my fault. I didn't save the options or I thought I picked my player but I didnt click the select player. Not trying to be a jerk just stated these issues you are having are in back to back drafts in two different leagues.
One of these days we will be winning instead of rebuilding.

Two drafts that used the penalty thing. last time there wasn't a penalty. Thus, there wasn't a problem. I literally haven't change anything I have done on the past.
I get why it was added, but i think the execution is not very good. Almost every draft ends within the time allotted. I am not sure why people are in a hurry to wait. The draft is one of the ways in which you can improve your team. I am not seeing why there is premium for rushing the process. There are a lot of variable to consider.

I am a huge proponent of drafts finishing in enough time and people need to stop complaining about it. The penalty isn't really about that though. It's partially because owners deserve some sort of penalty for missing their pick, partially because of owners that don't show up at all. Waiting the max time for their picks is dumb. There is no "max time" option, but you should be able to pick 5 minutes less than whatever the current allotment is. The problem is later in the draft like now and you aren't sure if you've been penalized.

Basically, quit being indecisive. Roll the dice and move along. There will always be another draft next season.

The thing is people using the full allotment of their time don't bother me. if the system picks for them I am not really bothered by that. Sometimes, Real life just gets in a way.
People play to be successful and win. it isn't life or death (hyperbole), but if they have trouble making a decision, then I am fine with that. If you want the game to play in an instant, then you should play SP, not MP.

If you really want a fast draft, then why 2, 3, or 4 hours for any pick? Why stop the draft at night or have an extra long clock. Make a priority list and sleep away has the draft rolls along.

The pick times give people more time to trade. I would be all for eliminating the off-hours though. With the different time zones and global appear of FOF, it might not be needed. Maybe increase the times a little for the later rounds. I've seen at least 1 league extending the off-hours. I'd say do the opposite.

Hooper, if the draft is done by Sunday would you consider running stages 8-12 so you can enter the picks?

I'd consider it. I'd probably decide against it, but I'd consider it. I think 8 is still a decent signing week. Plus, I dunno if it's worth moving everything in the schedule.

I personally ignore almost everything after stage 2 and 3 but I realize a bunch of people still use the later stages.

You also wouldn't have to move everything, just that one stage. We could see how other's feel? I also realize i'm partial to the rookie reveal stage.

So just have a gap in the schedule to stare at rookies? Even less likely. :P
