Thought I would make a post to drum up some conversation and potentially help each other learn about our respective favorite players/rosters a little bit.

While the league MVP will get voted on by SoleCPU or whatever, I thought we could nominate our own team MVPs for some fun. I'll start:

WLB JOEY ELOMS

After Joey was a surprise holdout during the offseason, his stock was a little down with the Killer Whales. He leveraged himself one of the top OLB contracts and right away he started to earn it with 3 sacks in the opening game. Not surprisingly, he played his best game in the team's biggest win, a 41-16 bout vs Dakota in which he finished with 9 tackles and 4.5 sacks. He's gone on to be third in the league with a career high 16 sacks on the season despite playing in only 12 games due to injury. He is one of the few teeth in the benign bite of Vancouver's defense, and we are proud to announce him as team MVP this year.

Mine is pretty easy.

our team revolves around QB Travis Kennedy
currently at 4800yds, 41TDs 6INTs and QB rating of 118.6, he's on pace to achieve another 5000yd season.

He's put up these numbers against stiff competition also. Newark has had the 5th toughest schedule in the IFL. Kennedy has had another dominant season at the age of 37.

on the defensive side of the ball, I'd have to say that Angel Klote is our defensive MVP.
after holding out for a new contract until week #6, he's been nothing short of spectacular.

in 10 games, he's earned 11 sacks, 20 hurries, 14 QBKd, equalling a 10.4 PR%

We don't really have one in St. Louis. We're a mediocre team that is somehow winning.

QB Glen Buss.

An obvious choice. After only averaging 163 yards/game last season, I figured at least a competent passing offense would put me in the wild card hunt. But Buss exceeded my expectations, posting 30 TDs on 65.5% passing for a 101.2 rating. He also added 753 yards on the ground with a gaudy 8.76 average. Most importantly, he's only put the ball on the ground two times versus his 15 fumbles last year.

This has been a really tough year for Cleveland. A new GM took over mid-season, this coupled with a mid-season QB change and a 4-11 record leaves almost no positives. One of the few positives is DE Dusty Chesnut. This second year player has had 8 sacks this season, with 52 tackles (26 asst), 3 forced fumbles, 4 passes blocked and a 12 hurries. It was the only bright spot in a terrible season, and Dusty will be a building block for coming seasons.

RB Hayden Stuvaints has been lights out in 2 seasons with 4,047 rushing yards and 34 total TDs. But I'd still go with QB Samuel Hillery as the Iowa City MVP. He will sit the last game, otherwise Hillery would likely exceed 5,000 passing yards. On the year, he has 11 300 yard passing games, 43 TD passes and a 121.0 QBR. What's interesting is that QBR is only his 3rd best in the last 5 seasons.

Every year, it's WR Randy Fife. A one-man offense, living on an island while his rbs trudge for 2 yards/carry and the team scuffles to losing season after losing season. Get this man some hope!

Probably QB Jay Keith. He only had 3500 yard passing, but 21 TDs to 8 Ints and a rock solid QB Rating of 101.2. The other contender would be WR Isaac Hill with 102 catches, 1200 yards, and 9 TDs.

I would have to go with the QB Burgess ..He's been breaking Franchise career records with his longevity and skill. Beasts are very lucky to have him.

I'll go with RB Lyons. He broke the Texas season rushing record with 1627 yds and 11-100 yard games. I think a lot of reason why this very average team is in the play-offs.

Personally I would put my whole defense up for the honor... They played great this year

If I had to pick one play it would be RB Chad Creel first year as the feature back - 2000 total yards 17 TDs.

Well, at 5- 11 there aren't very many outstanding performers, except

On the Offense, no one really stood out except for my Fourth round pick, Gabe Tyler
77 Ctch | 747 Yards | 5 TDs on a downside, he had 11 Drops.
He was the second best rookie receiver behind a first round pick.
