Ok, the draft is a month or so away, I will post a proposed schedule tomorrow.

Anyways, I need 2-3 guys who will be able to be on during the day or part of the day, to help run things. It looks like we will once again be doing it on the board. I think that we will allow it to start right away with FA day one, but with no time limit. After a few days we will kick in a time limit.

Anyone wants to help, let me know.

We tried to use it last time. We had to drop the idea the day we started the draft because it was a mess at the time. Made for a rough draft that had to be hurried a little too much.

It was better when the USFL used it later on for their draft, but still had some problems. It also seemed like it still had to "be manned" at most times, with someone watching over it.

A draft utility is not out of the question, but I am preparing for a board draft.

We have 2 guys, dberner and Suicane, who have offered to help so far. Another guy would be nice thats for sure.

I just couldn't withhold this from anyone. VPI has volunteered to set up his Draft-O-Matic util (which he created for IHOF) for the ImperialFL. I'm stoked and you should be too.

sov was bugging me to ask him to do this, since he is doing it for one other league too. I wasn't going to for some reason (stubborn, prideful, whatever....), but VPI offered on his own and I guess I was stupid not to just ask the guy.

Ok, we have 3 guys so no more is needed. Actually I am not even sure if these guys will be needed, but it will be nice to maybe have them hang around a touch more then normal just to keep an eye on stuff.

I hope to have some sample pages of the draft utility tomorrow or soon there after. You will actually be able to log in (which is the same as your board name and password) and look around.

Well that just killed a week worth of work. Good thing though, cause my util hit a snag. I can't get java to read a fucking file.

I was able to get all the wishlist code, and the player class working. Just couldn't get the data in, and back out. If I get the file handling to work, all I had left to do was get the timing code in and worked out. . . which would be an indefinite amount of time since I've never done it in Java.

And you guys thought I was slacking. . .

Other than my team, I am so far behind on stats around the league that when I sat down to do a power rankings two weeks ago. . I hit a serious case of wirters block. . .so I switched to code which is actually much easier. . . well most of the time.
