    Cleveland Outlasts Renegades

The Clawz slipped by Houston by eight points, scoring the last touchdown with two minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Cleveland's defense stopped Houston on the Cleveland 30 yard line when CB Guzowski tackled Houston TE Hemstreet to end the game.

Cleveland's defense forced three fumbles and recovered two while sacking Houston QB Lester Norris three times.

Offensively Cleveland continued running the ball well, racking up 144 yards on the ground. Running back Burt "Justanother" Pagan carried 14 times for 95 yards and a gaudy 6.79 yards per carry average and one rushing touchdown.

Game MVP Defensive End Eric Haupt registered five tackles and two sacks with two Hurries on QB for Cleveland.

It's the second straight win for Cleveland after an opening day loss to Iowa City.

    Next up: winless Hartford Whalers.

The defense came to play again this week. Our offense is just awful unfortunately. We just can't get Hanks going with any consistency. He is the engine that makes the offense go.

        GG BuddaKING,

This was a tight defensive battle. Our two pick-6s made our 30-13 win look like a blow out but that was not the case.
