Hello everyone!

I am the new GM of the Houston Renegades. I have completed the league setup and recieved my pw and imported the initial game files.

Is there any important thread/beginners text I should read before starting, I have already bookmarked the schedule and this forum itself (schedule, drafter, uploader, game HTML). I have never played in a FOF MP league before, so how do I actually participate? I did not do anything in the game client yet, to not "break" something. I know how to complete a full season in SP.

When do I hit the "export stage" file?
Why/When do I need the upload page - doesn't the "Export page file" do everything over FTP?
Do we use the "Draft" Tool for the upcoming staff draft as well or only for amateur draft?
Is there a beginner workflow post somewhere?

I don't know about a beginners text, but there is lots of info in this forum and Front Office Football Central if you search for specific things.

Participation is mainly communication through the forums and exports from the game.

You export after you import each stage and make whatever changes you want. We have a sim today after 4pm EST. You would export any staff draft settings and stadium plans before then.

The upload page's main job is just verifying that your export worked. After you hit export in the game, you should see a file date and size in the uploader.

Just the amateur draft. The staff draft is too complicated and most people hate it. I won't even try to explain except the preferences show in the game after you finish staff renegotiation.

It's been so long since I was a beginner. Hopefully, others can answer this.

If you haven't already done so download and get familiar with Draft Analyzer (http://www.operationsports.com/fofc/...=draftanalyzer). This is indispensable for the draft.

I was going to PM you but you're setting prevents me from messaging you :-)

PN settings changed I have the draftanalyzer already for SP but I must admit, I know way too little about the statistics to really change the weights or to understand from the gameplay analyzer or the box plot/log file why my team looses.

That came with time for me but what I suggest is to go withome automatic for 1 game in the preseason and see how your team performs then change one thing at a time which will give you a chance to see what happens. This could cause you to lose quiet a few games because you won't be Game planning each week but it by the end of the season you will know what does or does not work and what your team is missing. Also when I get time I will post the links to what I was reading about FA and finding steals in the draft

I just realized that FOF MP is simply not my cup of tea and therefore lie the GM of Houston back. Playing FOF in SP and rushing through seasons is something I like to do, but I simply do not have the time to check the forums regularly and participate on a regular basis. If i screwed something up for someone I am sorry, but I thought it might be a better idea to stop with the MP as quickly as possible instead of not being fully here. I think with enough time this looks great and I must really say thank you to the wonderful people here explaining everything! Especially footballAUS thank you!

If I ever would find the time to really run a team in MP I am pretty sure this would be the league I would be a part of!
