After a 3-0 start we've lost two in a row and just lost our QB for 4 weeks. So our QB, starting RB and best DE are all out with injuries. We face 3-1 Vermont on the road next. Outlook not good right now.

anyone else look at the standings and see a 4-0 team is leading a division with a 5-0 team in there?

btw good game. Montemayor doesn't have his best game throws 3 INTs and we still win 40-13

I thought that was odd, but it will be rectified next week when we play Matt!!

You guys got some beast teams this season, the Spirit, Pirates, and Bulldogs are playing elite level ball right now.

QB Stokes played the game I wished he'd had played last week. When I feed Wiggins, we 'get after it'; when I try to feature the pass, it gets ugly. I guess 'run heavy' is going to be our identity.

              interesting:

Salt Lake City: Goal-Line formation with three tight ends, strength is right. The defense is in a 43 with dime personnel and 2-deep man-to-man coverage, expecting the pass.
3-10-SLC11 (OT: 10:35) Martin Stokes pass completed to WR Donald Lawrence for 30 yards. The receiver went out of bounds. Tackled by CB Wally McIntyre. The receiver ran his route right over the middle of the field. Lawrence gained 10 yards after the catch. The quarterback threw away from the double coverage.

              what's wrong with that?

                GG Luis.

This may come as a surprise to some but I was pretty nervous about this game against Pennsylvania - I didn't like the match-ups at all and I was happy to eke out a victory. QB Julio Farrell was picking us apart all game.

We keep turning over the ball on offense but QB Gianettino is having a monster year in spite of that, completing over 70% of his passes throwing TDs on 8.6% of his pass attempts and averaging 8.89 yards per pass ATTEMPT which is over 1.5 yards more than his previous best season.

Our defense is under-performing but DE Mickey O'Donnell is on fire and has 9.5 sacks in 5 games, a pace which will get him to 30 sacks on the season and shatter KC Drexler's single season record of 23.

I'm guessing that WR Lawrence was playing one of the TE slots. You have three active TEs but one of them was playing FB :-)

But the window is closing for the Pirates. I am getting older in certain areas and I haven't brought in replacement guys yet. Once it turns it may be a while before I can get back. Unless I can draft better!! Or trade.

Whew, we get past Portland, but were sweating it until the end. Toviessi shredded us in the first half. We got some pressure at times, but once again our defensive backs got exposed. On the other side of the ball, our RB who was last week sitting on his couch couldn't run worth a damn... go figure! Still a few weeks until we get Hanks back. Barrett had a rough start but found his groove, and my man Petrolis had a hell of a game. I love that guy. GG Armicking

                        GG Hooper,

We got out to a 21 - 3 lead early in the 2nd quarter, which made any type of comeback difficult for your St. Louis squad. We sat back in a 3-deep zone most of the game and harassed Daniels (6 sacks, 15 plays impacting the QB, 8 passes defended and an INT). Wilt Chamberlin was a force with 7 tackles, 2 assists and 4 sacks.

Lost my first round pick!!! I should have paid attn and saw we had a bye and let him sit. That's 3 knee injuries this season (ouch).

I forgot to mention Madison -- 455/yards per gm. If their defense gets going, maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnn.

                              GG Jeremy,

Penalties!! I'm not sure what caused those penalties but they cost us the game. The QB Scramble for the TD would have put us in the lead by one but since the Defense couldn't stop the pass game QB Don Barrett was able to quick finish out the game with first down. Glad we have a bye week to get things straightened out! Bad Luck next week at Hartford!!
