  • Where's Waldo?

Oops, rather where are the Rookie of the Year candidates? Pimp your guys here, because they can be hard to find sometimes.

From Columbia I've got two contenders, but they are probably underdogs as they're both on the defensive side of the ball.

The #3 overall pick in the draft, Oliver McKenzie, has started all 11 of Colubmia's games at cornerback. He is tied for 7th in interceptions, 2nd yardage after interceptions, and is among only a dozen players to return an INT for a touchdown. It's hard to believe, but it looks like he also leads all rookies in tackles at the moment with 41.

Columbia's other first round pick DE Trent Hayden, who was picked 23rd overall in the 2004 draft, is also having a marvelous season. Hayden has started in 9 of 11 games and he leads all rookies in sacks and hurries, putting up 7 and 9 respectively. Next closest guy has 3 sacks. On top of that, he has recovered one fumble (for a TD) and forced two himself. Also in among the league leaders with 4 blocked passes.

Going with defense in the first round seems to have payed off.

      Little Rock has no candidates.

LDE Karl Cronin has started all year, but has puny stats.

And LT Roy Van Der Woude has been a starter all year, but has 10 sacks compared to 13 KRBs. uhm, thats not too good.
My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

Gotta nominate Jerome Mueller. Third in QB passer rating, but the most important stat of all, he is 5-1-1 in his starts. He has only thrown 2 INTs, but has passed for 9 TDs.

Even if he doesn't get RotY, he should get best value of the draft!

He wont win ROY but i have to say RB Jerry Davidson has been a key player for us this year. He has 527 yards rushing with a 4.7 avg per carry. He is a backup to Reyes and he is having a real nice season for the Demons. He has 4 TD's too.

If I had to vote for someone besides Mueller, it would be Richardson. Until I started Mueller I was kicking myself for passing on him! Now, I'm not too unhappy with my choice!
