  • Question regarding Position Distribution

So, I'm in a bit of a weird position this week. My Starting QB is injured and ruled OUT for this upcoming week. That gives me only 2 active QBs on the roster, but the required QB minimum is three. In order to fix this I would need to pick a QB up from Free Agency, but I also don't really have the Cap Space ($190,000) to sign anyone. Is there any way to work this situation out other than cutting a useful player on my team (to free up cap space) to sign a player I know will never actually see the field for me?

I've always thought the 3 QB requirement was excessive, but now it looks like it could really come around to bite me.

I know if your QB is injured slotting him into the 3rd position on your depth chart works because that player is not normally on the field in any game and I THINK it still works if he's ruled as "out". There is a midweek scheduled this week so maybe try setting your depth chart on that basis, export the stage file and see what happens?

My injured QB is not even in the list to try and slot in, unfortunately. I did remember, however, that only the 51 highest paid players on the team count towards the cap (at least that what it says in the games help file). That should give me the cap flexibility I need to pick up a replacement and I can move my injured WR (out 5 more weeks) to IR since, at this point, needing him for the playoffs seems very unlikely.

You used to be able to slot an injured QB in slot 3. You can't do that any more in FOF7.
