Recommended Graphical Interface Options

While not mandatory, installing this custom interface makes everything a lot more enjoyable:


1. Close the game.

2. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Front Office Football Eight

2. Make a copy of the 'Pictures' folder. (You are doing this in case you wish to revert back to default settings).

3. Download the following file: http://www.fof-ifl.com/files/CustomGUI.zip (You cannot click the link. You have to copy and paste it into your web browser.)

4. Unzip the files into the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Front Office Football Eight\Pictures

5. Open the game and load the league.

6. Go to Controls -> Options -> Choose/Edit Display Options

7. Check "Restrict pop-ups when hovering on player and home town information" and "Menu changes requires click rather than hovering"


League Setup


1. Go to the Controls -> Participants menu.

2. Run the Enter New Career function. Choose your team using this lookup table:

3. Set to "Begin without Draft" and enter League ID: Imperial (It's case-sensitive)

4. Enter the league's FTP information.
SERVER NAME: ftp.fof-ifl.com
USER NAME: Imperial@fof-ifl.com
PASSWORD: 1mp3r1@l

Leave the port as 21. Leave the bottom box blank.

5. Download the following file:http://www.fof-ifl.com/files/IFLnewGM.zip (You cannot click the link. You have to copy and paste it into your web browser.)

6. Unzip the two files into the folder C:\Users\[replace with your username]\AppData\Local\Solecismic Software\Front Office Football Eight\leagues\Imperial

7. Run the Import Game Files function. You will need your team password. PM your commissioner if you don't have it.

8. Run Restore Career at Controls -> Participants -> Restore Career. This may take a long time.

9. Run Import Configuration at Controls -> Participants -> Import Configuration.


Recommended Multi-Player Options

1. Go to Controls -> Options -> Edit Multi-Player Options

2. Set Game Options as follows:

Hide results on schedule overview windows: YES
Coaches reset depth chart prior to each game: NO
Coaches reset game prior to each game: NO
Coaches reset playbook each training camp: NO
Staff automatically signs players to fill rosters: NO
Add detailed information to game logs: YES
Save game plan and depth chart progress on export: YES
Auto-create game plan and depth charts: NO
