Great opportunity for any team that thinks they are a QB away from making some noise in the playoffs this year; even if you have limited cap room this season.
I'm not looking for a king's ransom; just something decent, as I inherited a weak roster and Ellis will most likely retire before my roster is competitive.
QB - Adrian Ellis - 78/78 (35 yrs old)
I'm eating a ton of his cap hit this year via his bonus. We're past week 6, so you would only be responsible for $1.9mil for the remainder of this season. The cap hit would jump up to about $25mil each of the next two seasons. But he's dirt cheap this year.
In 5 games this season:
231 passing yds/game (With a horrific WR unit; my best WR is a 41 Ovr)
49 rushing yds/game
9 TDs (7 passing, 2 rushing) and only 2 INTs
2 fourth quarter comebacks
