Tart Disgruntled
Yes, the Stallions are 2-1; yes, they lead the league in sacks; yes they are scoring more points this year. But something is not right. The Stallions lead the league in passing and it has everyone wondering if James Tart, less than a year removed from his record-setting inaugural rushing campaign, is 'washed-up'.
While some in the league have speculated that Tart has lost a step, James assured us that his 'slump' is purely the result of the new coaching staff learning how to use him.
Tart's is the Stallions leading receiver through 3 games but has only carried the ball 37 times (down from 57 at this point last year). Stallions were 1-2 then, they are 2-1 now so Tart says that he'll remain patient but he wants the coaches to count on him more. "I just want to make plays for this team---I'm a competitive [censored], " says Tart. "Stallion football is about running the rock and we need to get back to that."
Fans agree. While they are excited that the passing game is untracked (Booker has been sensational this year), this week has seen them calling the local talk shows asking Coack Palmateer for more James Tart in the game plan.
Hopefully James will see more action this Sunday --JS
