LDE Derek Nelson
It's scary to think that Nelson is only starting his 4th year in the league. With last years best friend, and teammate, Tod Woods off to Little Rock, more pressure will be put on Nelson to penetrate and force turnovers this year. However, the Oakland organization believes that he can do just that. Last years 68 tackles, and 8.5 sacks is just the beganning for this young stud. Watch out this year!
RDE Bill Heinrich
Heinrich has a big job this year. With Woods gone, the D-line just got alot weaker. Only registering 3.5 sacks last year, he will have to do alot more this year if Oakland has any chance to improve on their horrible job stoping the run, and pressuring the QB.
RDT(NT)Gary Salvador
Being the leader of the defensive line, Salvador only started 5 games last year, racking up a sad 23 tackles 1 sack. Teams are licking their chops looking at this D-line thinking about the rush yards. It will be up to these 3 guys to prove the league wrong this year.
