Fresno - A contractual techecality allowed second year WR/PR Emmitt Ross to become an UFA for a day. IFL officials enforced the letter of the law and vacated the remainder of Ross' rookie contract. Fresno GM Kobeck asked Emmitt to stay in town while Nate Cochrane & Kobeck worked on a new deal. Ross made out quite well signing a 1 year $1m deal with a $100k bonus. Kobeck said "apparently the IFL does not allow the word 'Butler' to be used in a personal services contract. Who knew?"
