"This was a very uneventful and disappointing first off-season for our team. We were shunned by every major free agent we took aim at and seemed to perpetually be two to three slots too late in the draft. I personally failed to get maximum trade value for more than one trade and have now placed undue stress on our coach Hunter Crawford.
On the plus side we didn't lose any starters or up-and-comers to free agency and have signed most of our key players to 3-6 year deals, ensuring that the core of our team remains together for seasons to come. We hope to have the last of our targets, CB Danny Lenhardt, signed to a long-term deal before the upcoming season starts.
I appologize to our fans for a below-average off-season. However, with another Hunter Crawford training camp experienced, this 2004 team should still be a play-off contender. Tune in come game time!"
