Grizzlies Coming To Town!

We're coming off a much needed victory against a tough Tulsa squad and things only get tougher as we head into Hartford to face the 7-3 Grizzlies. Many thought the Grizz' season to be over when they lost their starting QB, Scott Nelson, for at least the regular season in week 2. However, their team bonded and is currently one of the AFC powerhouses led by a formidable defense and a powerful running game. Shutting down that running game and moving the ball against that defense will be needed if we're to continue our climb into the fight for the NFC East crown.
Lawrence Head Coach Hunter Crawford had this to say on the subject at today's press conference:
"Harry Moss is having an excellent season in his sudden starting role exemplified by the fact he's thrown twice as many touchdowns as interceptions, a feat accomplished by only three other IFL quarterbacks, but Julian Schwab has to be the focal point of practice all week for any team playing Hartford. He has great football instincts and is very elusive behind a talented Grizzly offensive line. It'll be a daunting task to stop him but we believe we have one of the best defenses in the IFL and relish the opportunity to prove it against the better offenses in the league."
It's getting to the point in the season where games will truly be "must win". The outcomes of the Newark and Orlando games will obviously be needed to be factored into the equation but this game could prove to be a must win for the Phantoms. All of Lawrence is filled with an anxious football attitude, as it should be before games such as these....
Quasi-interesting fact: Murfreesboro and Oakland are the only two IFL teams with more yardage given up in sacks than they average per game passing the ball.
