HARTFORD, CT - With the 21st pick of the 3rd round, Hartford picked QB Jim Hickman. Many are scratching their heads as Hartford has second year stud Jerome Mueller under contract for two more years, and can resign restricted free agent Harry Moss MVP of the team in their inaugural season.
While we can not get any quotes from the Grizzlies upper management, it appears that they felt they needed a stronger insurance policy for Mueller after dealing Scott Nelson earlier this offseason for picks. One of which turned into Danny Scott, the highly touted middle linebacker. With an additional pick in next year's draft, the Grizzlies traded their 2nd rounder next year for the pick to take Hickman with.
Who will be the third QB on the roster for this season has yet to be determined. It is believed that the Grizzlies will make a move to sign a veteran to bring these young guns along.
