I'm actually happy with the tv shows of today. I think the reality tv craze is starting to subside a bit and that's a good thing, IMHO. I'll jot down a few shows I'm currently watching.
Arrested Development: Now in season 3, it's still as funny as ever. If you ever get a chance, catch Season 1 and 2 on dvd.
Battlestar Galactica: I was originally not a big fan of this re-make. But it has surprisingly gotten much better in season 2. It's more of a guilty pleasure than a favorite at this time.
Family Guy: I was a big fan of this show originally and then followed it to Adult Swim where I was introduced to Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Peter, Meg, Brian, Stewie, Lois, Chris and I have shared a lot of good times.
Firefly: Although this one is now in re-runs on SciFi, I still enjoy it. A good show with a quality cast by Joss Whedon.
Lost: I don't know why, but for some reason this show drew me in. It's probably Evangeline Lilly. Definitely one of my current favorites.

A lot of ROH stars (Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Alex Shelley, Austin Aries, Sonjay Dutt, etc) are now wrestling for TNA and you can catch TNA Impact on Saturday nights on Spike TV. They have a replay on Monday nights at Midnight CST. In fact, there is an extended TNA Impact (1.5 to 2 hour show) on tonight (Monday) that I would highly suggest since there were some high quality matches according to the reports. I am hoping to tape it.Originally posted by Suicanebtw, if we have any oldschool wrestling fans in our midst i emplore you to chack out some ring of honor stuff. if the big 2 arnt doing it for you, roh really has some outstanding work, especially over the past year. ive been catching up on some dvd's and ive seen shows that made me feel like i was watching nwa stuff in its heyday, just amazing.

Hell yeah, I enjoy TNA, but they really havn't done alot creatively despite having a ton of talent. That is, the matches are very solid, but the storylines and character development have been below average.
Thats why I mentioned ROH, they seem to be hitting everything spot on the past 1-2 years. It's a shame the only way to keep up with them is thru DVD's which can get expensive.
And dude, I love all your tv suggestions. I have firefly on DVD and am just waiting for the right time to watch it, but ive heard nothing but good things.I luv British womenz.

I'm hoping with the new TNA booking committee that the angles will get a bit more creative. I think they've had like 3-4 booking committees in the last year which is what has killed the consistency, IMO. Hopefully they'll stick with the current regime and give them time to improve in this area.
I have downloaded a few ROH matches, but haven't purchased the ROH dvd's yet. The storylines I've seen have been pretty good though and the matches are usually incredible. I may start browsing the web for ROH dvd titles.
Fox really killed Firefly when they ran the show out of order. Even I didn't quite enjoy the show during it's run on Fox. But luckily a friend of mine grabbed it on DVD and I was hooked. I'd also suggest the Firefly movie Serenity on dvd when it comes out if you enjoyed the tv series.

Yeah, I downloaded all the eps and the movie, just a question of finding the time to watch them.
I've never purchased a ROH DVD, just downloaded whatever I can find, but reading the show reports and what not keeps me abreast on whats going on till I find more shows.
Sucks major ass that they dont have a tv show as it's really costly to see everything thru DVD purchases alone.
They do have a pretty awesome clip of a really cool angle they're doing up on the site now though. Its a Brian Danielson vs Roderick Strong title match where they "snap" and "shoot" on each other, ending in a super quick MMA style tap out finish.
It's creative, fresh angles like that that you just dont see anymore at ALL from the WWE.I luv British womenz.

Yeah, I'd love it if ROH had either an internet broadcast or tv time slot. I may have to PM you for a few links to show reports and downloads. I've gotten a few, but a lot of my sources have dried up in recent months.
I'll have to check out the Danielson - Strong clip when I get home. I have never been a big fan of Danielson, but he's been getting a lot of hype since joining ROH.
