Ok, I am kind of home. I am waiting to deliver this load in the morning, then I am done and going home to go to sleep, until then I have a good 5 hours to sit here.
Ok, I need to say a few things about the ownership change for the Burlington Bolts now.
When this little internet drama (and I fucking hate internet drama's) happened, we had two guys pissed off at each other. Solley (Burlington's now former owner) decided he no longer wanted to be in this league and said that he was going to leave at the end of his team's season. I was fine with this, although I guess crossing my fingers a little the two guys would not keep at each other. I told Solley that if it was me I would leave now, but I understand him wanting to stay and see what his team can do.
At this time, we also lined up an owner to replace Solley once he was gone. Then Solley posted in the check in thread, that I am sure some of you have seen. This was one of the key lines.....
When asked by sovstar if the new guy should take over now or not, I said let him if he wants to, because to me it sounds like Solley is pretty much gone. And so Coder took over.
I am not totally sure what happened behind the scenes between sov and Solley, but I understand that sov told him he thought he should leave now. I also understand why sovstar thought this, because several of Burlington's top players are in need of resigning if they are to be on that team next season.
I will not look past the fact that sovstar was probably still pretty pissed at Solley for calling him out on the board for stuff that all sounds like it was second-hand info from a questionable (IMO) guy. So yeah, I can see how sovstar wanted him gone for that reason too.
None of it matters now though. It is over and done with and I do wish that none of this had even happened. Solley was a pretty good owner, and never missed exports unless he had a problem that prevented him. I am sorry if he feels he was pushed out, but I did never once say I wanted him out of this league, now or at the end of the season.
Solley may be welcomed back into this league at a later time if he wishes to come back, but I don't see that anythime soon, just to let things cool off.
