Lol, we were awful today- but hey- nobody got hurt. That's a plus, right?

London get off to an explosive start even if it was versus a computer team.
My starters were subbed with around 2 -3 minutes left in the 1st Half!!! Not sure I wanted to take the foot off the gas that early.
Rookie WR Ellard had a flawless game and is looking like a star in the making.

        GG Tempest,

Iowa City's defense looked shaky at times but came up huge in the 4th quarter to seal the 17-16 win. In the last 5 minutes, we created 2 turnovers and had a 4th down stop.

Kind of surprised rookie SS Elijah Gotchy did not win PoG with 10 tackles, 4 assists, a defended pass and an INT. RB Joe Taylor looks like he could be a nice back after gaining 124 rushing yards including 2 long runs.

London appears to be the class of the AC North division this year. We've added a lot of talent but are very young with 14 starters having 3 years or less experience (4 of those are rookies). Our cohesion is near the bottom of each position group.

Huge divisional win for us. We rarely get past Newark so this is a great start. GG Matt.

Nice to see our old star QB Wilkins lighting it up in Mass. Unfortunately, he is still in our division. It will be fun to play against him.

GG Shoveler. We didn't play well on either side of the ball. Gonna be a lot of tweaking this season.

Yeah old Wilkins notched his 58th Game MVP. Good start for Mass. but the score flatters us a bit, got the breaks at the right times. 28 unanswered points in Q2 taking advantage of short fields put the game out of reach.

Fantastic game played in our opener vs. the champs. Too bad we came up on the losing side. The game was about as even as it can get. Our defense just couldn't get it done in OT, and The Lynx marched right down the field for a TD. 3rd and 2.. they got 2. 3rd and 1... they got 1. We had a change with 1st and goal at the 3, to go up by 4 with a TD in the closing seconds but had to settle for a FG to tie. And then Anchorage took over the OT period.

Doesburg went down with an injury right away, but our backup Lange was respectable. He's going to get the start for a few weeks. Old man Liu had a career day with 5 catches for 163 yards and a TD. A few plays here or there and there's a different outcome. We'll meet again Budda. GG.

Good win at home against Lansing. "Squirt" with a nice game with 238 APY.

GONNA NEED A MID WEEK! Too many injuries this week, ouch.

I feel lucky to get out of Calgary with the win. Only 18 yards rushing....TOTAL for the Wolfpack. RB, Lang had a 1.14 rushing average. He misses his offensive line...rookie 1st round G, Tanyavutti was awful. DE, Cheung has the dreaded..."turftoe" with unknown prognosis. He's doubtful. We double-teamed Calgary WR, Long all-day long...AND he still had 229 yards with 2 TD's. With 50 seconds left in the first half, we gave up a 91 yard TD to him...AND he was double covered...go figure. The game was saved when we finally recovered one of 4 fumbles in the red zone with less than 30 seconds in the game. We lucked out with a blocked punt giving us good field position. Too many..."faked him out and now its a long gain on the play" comments. Too many false starts. May need to look at a new game plan before we face last year's IB Champs.

GG to you, too. I'm actually pretty happy with the results - we kept pace with Iowa City and gave a good fight. What really killed us was that fourth quarter fumble on the IWC 30. Immediately followed by an interception at the IWC 21. But we had a shot, which is better than I was initially expecting from this team. Got a long way to go, but I'm okay with this start. See you again in Week 10.
